Welcome to your iLEAD Learning Portal

ABOUT US

The iLEAD Trustee Learning Portal provides trustees with consistent, accurate information grounded in law and best practices. You can access this information anytime—whether you need a quick reference or a deeper dive. The online format allows you to learn at your own pace, or with fellow trustees as part of a focused group discussion.

The portal gives you the flexibility to shape your learning experience. You may choose a structured, course-like path or explore modules that meet your immediate needs and interests. Either way, the content is designed to equip you with the essential knowledge to serve effectively. For new trustees, the modules provide a strong foundation; for experienced trustees, they offer a valuable refresher.

For example, if your board is concerned about following the Open Meetings Act, you might assign all members to watch How to Conduct an Open Meetings Act Compliant Board Meeting and then discuss it together at your next meeting. In this way, the portal becomes a practical tool to address real-time challenges.

Ideally, every trustee will view all modules and return to them as needed. But in practice, the most important thing is for you to engage with the content that is relevant to your role at the moment. Your use, feedback, and insights will help keep the portal dynamic and valuable for all trustees.

This portal was created to support and empower you in your vital role. If it helps you feel confident, capable, and connected in your service, then its mission has been accomplished.
